Dan’s Daughters’ Containers presents how to make an emergency light. This easy to make, mason jar lamp, uses many easily sourced materials. All you need is to drill a 1/4″ hole in the lid of the mason jar. You can then thread any 1/4″ wick material through the holes or use my thermal glass wick tube with 1/8″ round cotton wick. This versatile candle can also use 1/4″ flat cotton wick. I demonstrate how to use 1/4″ round fiberglass wick in another video. In less than 15 minutes I was able to make an emergency lamp. Store these under your sink with a bottle of fluid and you are ready for any emergency. Always have a fire extinguisher on hand too!
