DAN THE MAN DIY ALL DAY!!! – Dan’s Daughters’ Containers presents how to make a hurricane emergency light. This easy to make mason jar candle uses many easily sourced materials. All you need is to drill a 1/4″ hole in the lid of the mason jar. You can then thread any 1/4″ wick material through the hole or use a thermal glass wick tube with 1/8″ fiberglass wick. This versatile candle can also use 1/4″ flat cotton wick. I demonstrate how to use 1/4″ flat cotton wick meant for a kerosene lantern. I used almost decade old lamp oil and in less than 15 minutes was able to make an emergency candle. Store these under your sink with a bottle of fluid and you are ready for any emergency. Always have a fire extinguisher on hand too!
